I put off reading this for some time, having seen and loved the films. So, the story started with a great premise, but didn’t live up to it. It's basicly for beginners. In this day and age with so many athletes breaking laws or seemingly having questionable values, I admire the way Tim played the game and his commitment to his faith. More than anything, however, this is Murch's own story of what seemed to many a crazy endeavor told through photos, journal entries, email musings, and anecdotes that give readers an inside view of what the film editor does and how this particular film progressed through post-production. I bought the book randomly for light end of summer reading. Is it essentially a hero's quest. We homeschool, and they are great for independent or read alouds.
